Keep unwanted surprises outside with ZeroMOUSE™ 2.0, the AI prey detection add-on for your existing microchip cat flap. Its camera checks your cat as it approaches, recognising mice, birds and other small animals to help prevent them being brought into your home.

When prey is detected, ZeroMOUSE interrupts the microchip signal so the flap stays locked. When no prey is detected, your cat can enter as usual.

Upgrade your existing microchip cat flap

ZeroMOUSE 2.0 sits inside the tunnel of a compatible microchip cat flap and attaches using two adhesive strips. No pairing with the cat flap itself is required.

Installation and setup

ZeroMOUSE advertises installation in around 10 minutes. Actual fitting time depends on your existing cat flap and the work needed to route the power cable.

The cat flap needs to be removed once during installation so the USB-C cable can be routed through a suitable hole or notch, following the installation guide. Connect the device to permanent power, then use a smartphone with Bluetooth and the ZeroMOUSE app to complete Wi-Fi setup.

Suitable installations include wooden and uPVC doors, wall tunnels and existing window-panel cat flap openings. Metal doors are not recommended because they can increase radio interference.

• A stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection with broadband internet at the installation point. 5 GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.

• A smartphone with Bluetooth for setup.

• A compatible microchip cat flap.

• A cat with a microchip.

A screwdriver is needed for fitting. Screws are not included.

Please note: ZeroMOUSE 2.0 is an add-on device, not a complete cat flap. Permanent power and a stable internet connection are required for operation.
